FAQ’s
Is there evidence that Qigong works for burnout and fatigue?
Yes. Both research and lived experience point to its benefits. In my own journey, and in those of my students, TQH Medical Qigong has been a steady path towards restored energy and resilience. Yet, it takes commitment and a steady routine.
Can Qigong help with balance after burnout?
Yes. TQH Medical Qigong supports balance in several ways: physically, by improving coordination and body awareness; and inwardly, by renewing the body–mind relationship. This will help you feel more stable and grounded, even when life feels unsteady.
How does Qigong fit within Traditional Chinese Medicine?
In TCM, burnout is often seen as a depletion of Kidney Qi — the body’s core reserve of energy. Qigong nourishes this energy, supports the Water Element, and helps ease symptoms over time, much like winter preparing the way for spring. Yet our approach is holistic in relation to the person: we see you as a whole being. The Five Elements cannot be separated from one another — balance arises through their interconnection, and through cultivating right view and right intention in practice.
Do I need to be physically fit to start?
Not at all. Qigong is gentle and adaptable. Movements can be practised seated or standing, and are easily adjusted to your needs. What matters most is regularity, not intensity.
Can I try a practice before committing?
Yes. You are warmly invited to join a practice and see how it feels. And if you prefer not to come alone, you may bring a friend, parent, or companion at no extra cost. Sometimes the first step is easier when taken together.
